Corean Canty

Corean Canty is the Chief Operating Officer of Nashville Public Radio, where she partners with President and CEO Holly Kernan and the leadership team to translate the vision for WPLN and WNXP into the systems and structures that turn strategy into action.

Canty began her career in radio as a morning show host and news director at WQHH in Lansing, Michigan, earning a Congressional Honor Award for community impact. She has spent the years since building the operating infrastructure that helps organizations grow, most recently as the first COO of We Are Rosie, a high-growth marketing talent platform, and previously as COO of Goodway Group, a digital media firm.

A two-time TEDx speaker, her work explores how people and organizations communicate through change. She is also a trained improv performer who has appeared on Nashville stages at the Third Coast Improv Festival, and will tell you the best improv and the best leadership require the same thing: listening, building on what others bring, and trusting the ensemble.
