Nashville Public Radio’s new NPR music discovery station, 91.One, WNXP, reflects the vibrant, creative pulse of our diverse city.
We are seeking an experienced Social Media Specialist for part-time, contracted work.
Job Summary:
The Social Media Specialist will work closely with 91.ONE, WNXP’s Marketing team to execute the day-to-day programs that grow engagement, brand recognition, and brand affinity, and ultimately drive listenership and membership. The ideal candidate will be well versed in the best practices of existing and emerging social networks.
Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day posting, publishing and listener engagement on WNXP’s social media accounts
- Content creation for all social platforms including copywriting, social videos, memes, gifs, graphics, etc.
- Identifying trends, relevant news and other opportunities in the social media space. Maintain awareness and understanding of emerging social media platforms and best practices.
- Developing creative social campaigns focused primarily on increasing listenership, as well as growing web traffic and station loyalty.
Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience working in a social media capacity
- Basic graphic design knowledge
- Basic photo and video editing ability
- Strong copywriting skills
- Extensive knowledge of all social media platforms
- Knowledge of the music genres WNXP plays is a must
This position requires 20-25 hours per week. This is a part time, remote position that pays $1,500/month. Given the nature of the position, the work can be done remotely, but preference will be given to those with an understanding of Nashville.
