Movers & Thinkers: Spanish-English Translator On 'Passing' In Two Different Cultures

Nov 28, 2016

David Morales spends his days living between two languages. He's a Spanish-English interpreter in Nashville, helping clients in places like doctor's offices and courtrooms.

His identity outside of work also sometimes feels stuck in between. He talks to WPLN's Emily Siner in our live series and podcast Movers & Thinkers.

This audio is an excerpt from the latest episode of our Movers & Thinkers podcast. Hear more of the conversation with David and two other interpreters — a banjo player who sings in Mandarin and an American Sign Language interpreter specializing in Shakespeare — by listening to our podcast on our website, on iTunes, or on Google Play.
