Event Description

An exhibition of vintage photographs about Black Mountain College & work by those associated with this groundbreaking school will be at Vanderbilt University's Fine Art Gallery January 11th - March 2nd 2018. The exhibit "Looking Back (Looking Forward): The Black Mountain Experience explores the highly interdisciplinary approach to education fostered at this school in North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains from 1933 - 1957. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, Jan. 11th from 5pm - 7pm in Cohen Memorial Hall. The gallery will be closed Jan. 15th for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
