Event Description

An event featuring live music, inspiring speakers, & a march to express concern for the care of our environment, people & the planet's health, & justice will begin 10am at Sally Beaman Park. In partnership with faith, environmental, social justice, & other community organizations, Climate Nashville presents the Nashville Climate March, rain or shine. Speakers include Sizwe Herring, Executive Director, Earth Matters, Wesley Roberts, Biology and Astronomy Teacher, Metro Nashville Public Schools, & Anne Davis, former Managing Attorney, Southern Environmental Law Center. Live music by theCantrells & the Shelby Bottom Duo, &other artists. Participants may bring signs. Beginning at 11am the group will march two-miles round trip for climate action & justice, from Sally Beaman Park to Hill Center (Whole Foods), along Benham Avenue, Glen Echo Road, & Hillsboro Road.
