Volunteers Beat Hired Help in Flood Clean Up

Like many areas of Middle Tennessee this week, the stunning pictures are no longer of rising water approaching rooflines. They’re of insulation, drywall and rotting furniture, piled higher than some rooflines. Much of that flood debris has been stacked up by volunteers, who have become the backbone of the cleanup effort. WPLN’s Blake Farmer reports.
