Shot Pearl Cohn Student Was in Gang Crossfire

Metro Police have charged three teenage brothers after Tuesday afternoon’s shooting at Pearl Cohn High School. A 17-year-old bystander was hit in the crossfire, though she has been released from the hospital.

None of the three suspects are Pearl Cohn students. In an interview 18-year-old Deandrae Northcutt told investigators he and his brothers were visiting a friend after dismissal when they saw a rival gang member. A physical fight broke out, according to police, and at least one shot was fired.

The student who was hit was on a bus with eight other students. No one else was injured.
