All-Clear Issued in Tennessee Tech Evacuation

A classroom building at Tennessee Technological University has been reopened after an emergency evacuation that lasted several hours today.

Johnson Hall went on lockdown around 11 am after reports that someone had seen a person with bullets in one of the building’s restrooms. University police later cleared the building to do a thorough search. Students and faculty were allowed back in a little after 2:00 after authorities issued an all-clear. All classes that meet in the building were cancelled for the rest of the day.
