Tennessee Republican Bob Corker is among a bi-partisan group of senators asking for hearings on the U.S. mission in Afghanistan prior to the July 4th congressional recess.
Corker and six other members of the Senate Foreign Relations committee made the request in a letter to the committee’s chairman, Democrat John Kerry of Massachusetts.
The letter is signed by two Democrats and five Republicans on the committee.
