Officers in the Metro Police aviation unit don’t just sit around waiting on a call for a high speed pursuit or a suspect on the run. While air support is the unit’s central mission, pilots spend some of their time on the offensive against the city’s marijuana growers. And they made last week a bad one for Nashville’s clandestine farmers. Metro Police harvested 150-thousand dollars worth of dope. WPLN’s Blake Farmer went to see the marijuana hunt and brought back this report.
